Join our celebration of pioneer living and a fun-filled community event!

Enjoy games, crafts, petting zoo, demonstrations, historic interpreters, community tables, and vendors all across the site throughout the day.

*Rain or Shine! In the event of light rain, all activities that can be moved inside continue and we do as many farming activities as possible. Some activities may be postponed or cancelled if there is severe weather that threatens the safety of our guests and volunteers.*

Please call our Director at 641-672-2989 or email them director@nelsonpioneer.org to get permission to come take photographs of the property. This is not an open site and permission is necessary so we can let our property caretaker know.
