What is the cost? All participants (students, teachers, and adult chaperones) pay the $2 admission.

How long does a field trip typically last? We recommend 2 to 2 ½ hours to participate in the 4-5 activities planned across the site.

Where does the bus park? There is a large parking lot at Bradbury Hall where the bus can park easily.

How large of groups should go through? Each activity has a maximum of 10 students with 1 adult. We require for 1 chaperone or teacher for every 10 K-8 students and every 12 high school students.

How should students dress? This is a farm and most of our activities are outside. Please remind your students to wear close-toed shoes – no sandals. It can also get cool when it’s a windy or cloudy day. They should bring sweaters or jackets with them in case they need another layer.

What is the role of the adult chaperones? Chaperones are critical to help facilitate the visit for the students. They need to be engaged and attentive. They should never lose sight of their students; it is their responsibility to ensure the students are safe and behave on our site.

Is photography allowed? Yes, photography is allowed in the museum building and on our site.

Will photographs be taken? We will ask if any of your students do not have permission to be photographed. If anyone in the group cannot be photographed, none will be taken. All photographs may be used on our website, social media, or membership publications.

Are food and drink allowed? No. To protect our exhibits and collections, no food and drink are allowed in the museum or historic buildings.

Can students visit the gift shop? Absolutely. We only ask that all students are accompanied by an adult and that small groups of 8 or less go into the gift shop at a time.
*Please have chaperones help student determine purchases before they get to the checkout desk.
